HLB ENG started from Kyungil Yacht, a subsidiary of Hyundai Group in 1975, and entered the FRP ship construction field. Over a 48-year history, it has built about 8,000 lifeboats and special vessels, ranking first in the domestic lifeboat business field.
Based on this experience and know-how, we design and build various special-purpose vessels such as official vessels, fishery guidance vessels, high-speed vessels, patrol boats, patrol vessels, rescue vessels, surveillance boats, fishing boats, jet boats, etc. In addition, we are leading the future of safe ships by promoting the construction of hydrogen fuel cell ships, unmanned surface vessels, and electric propulsion ships for the future. In particular, the design and construction performance of 43 vessels including official vessels, fishery guidance vessels, and high-speed vessels are recognized for their achievements in the Korean shipbuilding industry.
HLB ENG's ship business is expected to grow further in the global market through continuous technology development and safety assurance.
Hydrogen fuel cell ships are vessels that use hydrogen fuel to generate electricity and drive motors, they are environmentally friendly and do not emit atmospheric pollutants.
This is an offshore wind power support vessel, equipped with a high-stability design and advanced equipment for reliable management of offshore wind farms.
Electric propulsion ships are vessels that are powered by an electric motor instead of a diesel ship, increasing environmental friendliness and energy efficiency, and reducing fuel and maintenance costs.
HLB ENG has achieved many technical achievements in constructing various ships through its 48-year history. Recently, it is developing innovative ship technologies such as hydrogen fuel cell vessels, autonomous vessels, and electric propulsion vessels. These technical achievements are attracting attention in the ship business area led by HLB ENG. HLB ENG is expected to grow further in the global market through continuous technology development and safety assurance.
Hydrogen fuel cell vessels are ships that use hydrogen fuel to generate electricity and drive motors. These vessels are environmentally friendly and do not emit atmospheric pollutants, occupying an important position in the future ship industry.
Autonomous vessels refer to ships that can navigate automatically without human intervention. Such ships have been developed by applying innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and robotics, and can solve problems such as human accidents and manpower shortages.
Electric propulsion vessels refer to ships that use electric motors to drive instead of diesel engines. These ships are environmentally friendly and do not emit atmospheric pollutants, contributing to environmental protection and energy saving. In addition, electric propulsion vessels have advantages such as high efficiency, low noise, and vibration, enabling stable navigation even during navigation.
